Keylong, the district headquarters of the Lahaul and Spiti, was the the coldest place in the region with the low of minus 4.6 deg Celsius, Met office sources said here today.
Strong icy winds lashed Shimla, resulting sharp fall in maximum and minimum temperatures which dropped to settle at 15.4 deg and 4.3 deg Celsius respectively even as sky remained partly clouded during the day.
Sundernagar recorded a night temperature at 4.1 deg Celsius followed by Bhuntar 3.2 deg, Mandi 3.1 deg, Solan 2.8 deg and Manali, the key tourist resort, at one deg C.
Una was hottest with the day temperature recording at 25.8 deg Celsius followed by Nahan 22.7 deg, Sundernagar 22.3 deg, Dharamsala and Bhuntar 21.5 deg each, Solan 20.5 deg and at Kalpa it was 12.2 deg Celsius, the sources added.
The MeT offce has predicted rain or thundershowers at isolated places during next 24 hours in the region.
