Delhi residents continued to reel under hot and humid weather conditions today as rains eluded the national capital and the maximum temperature settled at 38 degrees Celsius.
At Safadarjung observatory, the maximum temperature of 38.1 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average, while the minimum was recorded at 26.4 deg C, which normal for this time of the year.
Palam, however, witnessed the maximum at 39.6 degrees Celsius, which was close to the 10 year high of 40.1 deg C, recorded in 2009 during August.

Ridge area observed a maximum of 39.4 degrees Celsius while the maximum in Ayanagar settled at 39.2 degrees Celsius.
The humidity level hovered between 72 and 39 per cent.
Met department has predicted a clear sky tomorrow.
"It will be a mainly clear sky tomorrow. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 38 and 27 degree Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.
