No respite from sultry weather in capital

The maximum temperature was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal, while the minimum stood at 29.3 deg C, three notches above normal but marginally down from yesterday's 29.8 deg C, the MeT department said.

The humidity level oscillated between 48 per cent to 82 per cent.

Yesterday, the maximum in the city was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius even as it received 0.1 mm of rains.

The Weatherman has predicted a cloudy sky in the capital tomorrow with the possibility of rains and thundershowers.

The temperature is likely to be between 29 and 36 deg C.
