Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Gulam Nabi Azad today said that there is no space for groupism in Congress and that the party is united.
"There is no space for groupism in Congress and Congress party is united, every Congress worker and leader is duty bound to strengthen the party further and work with enthusiasm for the development of the state and people," Azad said during an interaction with a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee functionaries, led by its chief G A Mir.
After the Kissan Rally in New Delhi yesterday, a delegation of vice presidents, general secretaries, MLAs, MLCs, district presidents and other party functionaries of JKPCC called on Azad and AICC general secretary Ambika Soni at their residences in New Delhi, an Congress release here said.

"Congress will remain steadfast in serving the people to the best of its ability for the fact it (Congress) is an instrument of service to the people," Mir said.
He expressed confidence about the role being played by the party as a constructive opposition, and said the party was doing everything possible to bring the state of Jammu and Kashmir out of confusion created due to contradiction in the approach of PDP and BJP towards the state and people.
Speaking on the occasion, Azad told party functionaries that there is no space for groupism in the Congress. Congress is united enough and every primary worker or leader should put a united face and work with enthusiasm for the overall development of the state.
Describing the Congress party as future of the country and the state, Azad asked all party cadres to educate the masses about the programmes and pro-people polices of Congress.
