Former MP Simranjit Singh Mann-led Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) today ruled out extending support to Congress in Haryana in the upcoming Assembly polls.
"Party's Haryana unit chief Ajit Singh Kahlon and another leader Parwinder Singh Bedi had recently announced extending support to Congress in forthcoming Haryana Assembly election on their own without consulting SAD (Amritsar) high command.
"The party will not support Congress which is responsible for Operation Blue Star and always committed atrocities on Sikhs," SAD(A) spokesperson Iqbal Singh Tiwana said.
He said the party has issued show cause notices to office bearers of its Harayana unit who had announced support to Congress.
