No threat to public safety & security in Hyderabad: Top cop

Hyderabad Police today said there was no threat to public safety and security in the city and asserted adequate vigil was being maintained to ensure peace and order.

The police termed as "rumours" certain messages circulating on social media about "threat" to public safety and security in Hyderabad.

"The information being circulated on social media are all rumours," Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy said in a release.

"All necessary security and bandobast arrangements have been made to maintain peace and public order in the city," he said.

Reddy requested people not to believe in rumours.
