CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury today criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Centre's USD 10 billion concessional credit to Africa and asked NDA government to instead focus more on agrarian crisis in the country than providing monetary help to other nations.
In a jibe at Modi, Yechury said it is India's "misfortune" that the Prime Minister has no time for people here as "he is either abroad or busy with leaders from abroad when in the country".
"First of all, take care of your kisans (farmers) who are dying, who are committing suicide. The misfortune of our country is that either the Prime Minister is abroad or he is busy in the country with leaders from abroad.
