Actor-politician and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan Tuesday said he has "no time" for movies as he was devoting full time for public service.

Kalyan said his thoughts were fully focused on people's welfare and establishing an equitable society.

"Reports in a section of the media that I have accepted a new film are not true. I have no time for movies as I have devoted my full time for public service," he said in a release.

"This is the time I am being among people, my fans and Jana Sainiks (party cadre) and exposing the misdeeds of the rulers.

My thoughts are fully focused on people's welfare and establishing an equitable society.

As such, I am not even thinking about films," Kalyan, youngest brother of Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, said.

For over six months now, Kalyan has been touring various districts of Andhra Pradesh and interacting directly with a cross-section of the society.

He has also been building the party organisation across the state and some senior political leaders from other parties have joined his party.

He has already announced that the four-and-a-half year-old Jana Sena would contest all 175 Assembly seats in the state in the May 2019 election.

He also announced plans for contesting next year's Lok Sabha polls in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
