The situation in Chandan Nagar area, where a curfew was imposed after violent clashes recently, remained peaceful today with no untoward incident reported in the locality.
"The situation is under control and no untoward incident was reported from anywhere in the curfew bound area, especially when it was relaxed twice for women during the day," Inspector General (IG) Vipin Maheshwari told PTI.
Around 100 people were arrested from Chandan Nagar, and nearly 150 anti-social elements were rounded up by the police from other areas of the city as a preventive measure, he said.

"We will review the situation tomorrow morning," the IG said.
Nearly 50 people, including 20 policemen were injured after two groups indulged in stone pelting over a dispute in the Dhar Pulia, area after which a curfew was clamped, as a precautionary measure.
