Senior Congress leader Anil Shastri said here today that it is wrong to claim that a "wave" exists in favour of either the BJP or Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha polls.
He said a myth had been perpetrated by spending large sums of money on various campaigns to prove that the BJP and Modi are all set to capture power in the country.
Shastri claimed that during the last ten years the UPA had done a lot of good work but admitted, that there were some shortcomings including its failure to control rising prices, which had hit the common man hard.
In reply, Shastri claimed that the Congress would win at least 200 seats in the Lok Sabha polls and definitely form the next government at the Centre.
