No welfare project would wound up for lack of funds, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das asserted today.

The state would bear funds for any scheme in case central assistance was not received, Das said while addressing the Jharkhand Assembly even as the main opposition Jharkhand Mukti Morcha staged a walk-out.

Taking on the opposition criticism over the Centre's Land Acquisition Bill, Das said he believed in "puja of farming" while the opposition believed in "kursi (power) puja" and opposed government's constructive initiatives.

Das described the walk out by JMM MLAs as not brave enough to hear "the truth", adding there should be debates over issues pertaining to state's interest and his government would listen to constructive suggestions from both the ruling and the opposition parties.

Das accused a section of leaders of political manoeuvrings in the state's Santhal Pargana region that left the people in disbelief of the administrative mechanism.

He also held the section of leaders responsible for women selling 'hadia (rice liquor)' even after over six decades of independence.

But the BJP-led government would establish the credibility of governance and would provide dignity of labour to the people, Das added.

He also asserted that his government would spend every pie of the budget and would implement all schemes.
