Days after sanitation workers ended their strike, Noida Chief Executive Officer Deepak Aggarwal conducted surprise inspection to take stock of cleanliness and encroachment situation in the city.

He started the surprise inspection this morning and supervised cleanliness and the encroachment situation in the city. He directed officials concerned to start cleanliness and anti-encroachment drive on war footing and make the city clean and green.

Additional CEO P K Aggarwal supervised the work of sanitation workers at Sector 37. The CEO visited Sector 42, 47 and 52 and found garbage strewn at several places.

Hearing the surprise inspection by the CEO, officials rushed to their areas and initiated cleaning the area.

Anti-encroachment team too swung in action and removed roadside encroachments which were bottlenecks to free flow of traffic.

On December 16, sanitation workers on contract ended their 10-day protest demanding direct transfer of salaries to their accounts, after the Noida authority assured them that their demands would be addressed.
