Noida cracks down on illegal sand mining

The district administration today seized 400 bags containing illegally mined sand and demolished a bridge used to transport the sand to Harayana.

A temporary bridge made on river Yamuna that was used to transport illegally mined sand to Haryana was demolished today, District Magistrate N P Singh said.

We have also seized 400 bags of illegally mined sand from Chak Basantpurvillage, he said.

Talking about the need for stern action against such crime, Singh announced that regular raids will be conducted and any illegal bridge found will be demolished and mining mafias arrested.

The team also raided villages of Gadhi Samastpur, Kondli and Murshadpur village.
