Noida gears up for ADB summit

Mock drills were conducted today and arrangements reviewed at meeting of central, state government and district officials for the Asian Development Bank Summit starting here from tomorrow.

The 46th annual ADB summit, to be held at the India Expo Centre here from May 2 to May 5, is expecting participation of 3,500 representatives from 67 countries.

Additional forces have been deployed and given training and summit venue has been handed over to central SPG (Special Protection Group) team.

ADG intelligence O P Singh held meeting with senior police officers and inspected the security arrangements.

SSP Preetinder Singh said arrangements have been made for free flow of traffic.
 

From tonight, security has been intensified from Chilla regulator at Delhi border till the event site at India Expo Centre.

Temporary police booths have been set up on the expressway.

DND Flyway management has dedicated two lanes for the ADB summit visitors. On either side. Left side lane has been made toll free.
