Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta Justice N K Mehrotra, heading the probe into alleged illegal plot allotments by the Noida Authority, today summoned two allottees and gave a week's time to seven persons, including some officials to submit their reply on certain points.

"Two allottees one each from Lucknow and Kanpur have been summoned to appear on April 24, whereas seven persons, including some officials, have been asked to submit their reply by April 29," Mehrotra told PTI.

During BSP regime land acquired for industrial use in Noida was allegedly allotted to 150 firms and individuals for farm houses of 10,000 square metre each in violation of norms.

Preliminary probe revealed that allotment of 150 farm houses at throw away prices resulted in a loss of Rs 1,000 crore to the state exchequre after which Akhilesh Yadav government handed over the inquiry to Lokayukta in August last year.
