Noida residents light lamps ahead of I-Day

The city residents today lighted lamps in memory of the martyrs who laid their lives for the nation, on the eve of the 68th Independence Day.

The drive was launched by district magistrate N P Singh at his camp office.

The DM went to the sector 21 community centre and lighted the lamps there.

The lamp lighting ceremonies were held in several sectors of the city and market area, including GIP Mall.

The residents turned up in large numbers and lighted the lamps at all district offices too.

Singh had attributed different areas to district officers to organize lamp lighting ceremonies in the city in association with residents welfare associations, industrial associations, traders association, schools managements and institutions management.
 

The official noted that flag hoisting ceremony and cultural events will be held at all the sectors in Noida and Greater Noida tomorrow.
