Noida: Trader's aide carrying Rs 11 L to bank robbed in daylight

A city-based trader's aide was allegedly robbed of Rs 11 lakh on a busy road by motorcycle-borne assailants here Monday afternoon, officials said.

The wholesale cigarette dealer's salesman was on the motorcycle carrying the cash in its dicky to a bank when he was targeted by the unidentified assailants at the Sector 21/25 roundabout, a senior police official said.

The salesman of the wholesale dealer, who has a shop in Sector 22, was carrying the cash collected from sales to deposit it in a bank.

He was at the Sector 21/25 roundabout when the assailants on two separate motorcycles came from different directions and overpowered him. They then took the money from the dicky of the motorcycle and fled," Superintendent of Police (Crime) Ashok Kumar said.

 

A case has been registered against the unidentified men at the Sector 20 police station and investigation taken up, he said.
