Stating this in a release here today Haryana, Principal Secretary for Women and Child Development Department Dheera Khandelwal said the National Award for Child Welfare 2012 and 2013 would be given to three individuals and five institutions who have worked for the welfare of children for some years.
While the award for institutions carries a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh and a citation and for individuals, it carries cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a citation.
The Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva awards were given to three such individuals who made outstanding contribution in child development, child protection and child welfare for more than 10 years, she said.
