A special court today issued non- bailable arrest warrant against former Jharkhand minister Bhanu Pratap Sahi for skipping appearance for a long time in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
Special Judge of the Enforcement Directorate Court Satyaprakash issued the NBW as Shahi has not appeared before the court on several dates.
The ED is inquiring the case of DA to the tune of Rs 7.97 crore lodged against against Sahi and his relatives between the period 2005 and 2009 when he was health minister in the Madhu Koda government.
Sahi, now an MLA, is on bail at present. The next date of hearing is set for February 4.
