A local court has issued a non-bailable warrant against BSP leader Swami Prasad Maurya in a case of hurting religious sentiments.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Saroj Kumar Yadav issued non-bailable warrant against Maurya yesterday for not appearing in the hearing and fixed January 5 as the next date of hearing.
Maurya had on September 21 given a statement, which it was claimed, hurt the religious sentiments.
Anil Tiwari, resident of Judapatti village in Kurebhar, had raised the matter and registered his complaint against against Maurya.
