The ad-hoc non-teaching staff members of Rajasthan University today staged a protest against the authorities for issuing a notification for fresh recruitment for non-teaching posts.

"We have been demanding regularisation (of our jobs) and had met the Chief Minister yesterday. She had assured us that a committee would be formed to look into the matter, but the university has issued a notification for fresh recruitment," Deepak Kumar Sharma, a representative of the ad-hoc employees, said.

The employees staged a sit-in in front of the office of the vice-chancellor, demanding that they be regularised before any fresh recruitment for non-teaching posts.

The university has invited applications for recruitment to the posts of guest house manager, steno and lower division clerks.
