Hailing the Centre's decision of slashing the retail prices of non-urea fertilisers, including DAP, Telangana BJP President K Laxman today said the move would benefit farmers in a big way.
Noting that availability of fertilisers used to be scarce and that black market ruled the roost in the past, he said agriculturists do not face such problems now.
Recalling that the NDA government has taken various steps for the benefit of farmers, including introduction of crop insurance scheme, Laxman said latest move would also go a long way in helping the farming community.
