Noted freedom fighter Ananta Nath Chatterji passed away at his residence here today following protracted age-related ailments, family sources said.
Chatterji (94) is survived by his widow and two sons.
The nonagenarian Chatterji was among a few who had flatly turned down the pension doles for freedom fighters.

Chatterji had plunged into 1942 Quit India movement in Kendrapara and was sent to Patna central jail where he spent two years.
