Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh today regretted that he was not consulted before signing the recent Naga Peace Accord and said none could transgress the territorial integrity of the state.
Nobody could transgress the territorial integrity of Manipur and the Union government should not disturb the state's boundary, the Chief Minister said at the 69th Independence Day function here.
Stating that he had not been consulted before signing the Peace Accord with the NSCN (IM), Singh dismissed as false and baseless media reports that R N Ravi, interlocutor of government of India and NSCN-IM, had met him almost 12 times.
On the issue of the Inner Line Permit, Singh appealed to the leaders of Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) to work with the state government to draft the proposed Bill to be passed by the Manipur Assembly within this month.
