The bandh began at 5 a m today and all shops, business establishments, educational institutions and other commercial organisations remained closed.
The bandh supporters belonging All Bodoland Minority Students' Union (ABMSU) and All Assam Minority Students' Union (AAMSU) to pelted stones at the few plying vehicles and burnt tyres at crossroads.
The bandh is being observed to press for immediate arrest of culprits involved in the killings, Rs 10 lakh compensation to the next of kin of those killed, Rs 5 lakh to the three injured, government jobs to the next of kin of those killed and to ensure the security and rights of the non-Bodos.
