Normal temperatures in Punjab, Haryana

The maximum temperatures were near normal across Haryana and Punjab on Tuesday.

Chandigarh received light rain and recorded a high of 32 degrees Celsius, a meteorological department report said.

In Haryana, Ambala registered a high of 32 degrees Celsius, while Hisar recorded a maximum of 34.4 degrees Celsius.

Karnal's maximum settled at 32 degrees Celsius while Narnaul recorded a maximum of 34.2 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a maximum of 35.5 degrees Celsius. Ludhiana recorded a maximum of 34.6 degrees Celsius, while Patiala's maximum settled at 33.4 degrees Celsius.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in the two states on Thursday and Friday, according to the Met department forecast.
