Aditya Birla Nuvo today said operations have been restored at its textile division -- Jaya Shree Textiles -- in West Bengal, where workers had gone on strike last week.

The company is in discussions with workmen and labour office officials in the state of West Bengal to settle various outstanding issues, the company said in a BSE filing.

From the night shift of May 20, operations at the plant have been restored and the working has now become normal, it added.

The workers of Jaya Shree Textiles had gone on strike on May 16, which the company had termed illegal.

The loss on account of strike is estimated to be around Rs 3.90 crore, the company said.

Jaya Shree Textiles is engaged in the manufacturing of linen yarn, linen fabrics, worsted yarn and wool tops.
