Yesterday assembly proceedings were stalled as both sides stuck to their grounds.
The Congress had stalled the discussion on "law and order situation" proposed by the state government as the last item of the day's agenda.
While the alliance was pressing the opposition to allow Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal gave his personal explanation to the allegations levelled by Leader of Opposition Sunil Jakhar against misuse of Rs 40 Crore regarding distribution of grant in Lambi assembly constituency.
After the Question Hour today, the Chief Minister rose to say that whatever that happened in the house yesterday had pained and hurt him.
"Yesterday you did not allow me to stand even though it was my right to intervene. You wanted a discussion on the law and order situation to which the Home Minister (Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal) also moved a resolution," he said.

He said they had shown "large heartedness."
"But Chaudhary Sahab (Jakhar) I am pained at the allegations against me. There is no other forum where I could have given the explanation (to the allegations). I have been hurt," he added.
Badal said the Congress regime had always been against him, setting up various Commissions (of Inquiry) against him. During Amarinder's regime various allegations of my holding land in Rajasthan, night Club in Australia, a flat at Manhattan in the USA etc were levelled against me, but we came out clean.
The Chief Minister said, "If someone else had levelled the allegations against me I would not have been hurt. But they came from Jakhar. I was hurt, pained. I have never levelled allegations against anyone. I have to give my explanation to the allegations. (MORE)
