Normalcy today returned at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) campus after the agitating students called off their protest.
The students yesterday staged a dharna outside the Vice-Chancellor's office against the proposal of transferring university land to private parties for development work.
The protestors alleged that University security staff resorted to a lathicharge late last night after they blocked the gate of Vice Chancellor's office, where a special meeting of the varsity Executive council was talking place.
