Normalcy returned to Taoru town in Mewat district today but the administration decided to continue with curfew restrictions till tomorrow as a precautionary measure.
Authorities relaxed curfew, clamped here in the wake of tension between two communities after a person died in a road accident, from 4 PM to 7 PM to allow people to purchase items of daily need.
Mewat Deputy Commissioner, R C Verma, said that blockades had been put up in the entire town and the police and para- military forces conducted flag marches.
"The district administration is committed to providing help and treatment to the injured driver and cleaner of the dumper, and others," he said.
Verma said that all government offices would remain closed tomorrow also and curfew would continue in the municipality area.
Meanwhile, Haryana Transport Minister Aftab Ahmed today visited the hospital to meet the injured.
Violence took place in the town yesterday, some 40 kms from Gurgaon city, after a truck mowed down two bike-borne men, killing one of them on the spot, police said.
The deceased was a 22-year-old youth.
After the mishap, the driver and helper of the truck, who belong to a particular community, were thrashed by a mob, sparking communal violence in the area, they said.
People pelted stones and destroyed shops and business outlets, police officials said, adding that markets were closed after the violence.
