North Avenue police station inaugurated

Delhi Police today inaugurated a new police station on North Avenue, covering residences of several MPs and a few important building under its jurisdiction.

The North Avenue police station will have under its jurisdiction specific areas which were so far under the domain of the police stations at Parliament Street and Mandir Marg, both in New Delhi range of the city, said a senior official.

A particular stretch outside the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises will fall under the jurisdiction of the North Avenue police station, said the official.

The proposal regarding this police station was cleared by the Lt Governor around a week after the South Avenue police station was inaugurated, the official added.
 

In October, new police station on South Avenue was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary.
