Special CBI Judge O P Saini, who is conducting the trial on a day-to-day basis, adjourned the proceedings due to the power failure in the court during the post-lunch session.
The day's proceedings also began late in the morning due to heavy rainfall and traffic jam in the national capital.
"I may add that on account of heavy rainfall and resultant traffic jam, court started working a little late and was adjourned a little early on the prayer of both parties on account of the power failure in the court," the judge said.
The court was recording the statement of key CBI witness A K Srivastava, who had retired as deputy director general (DDG) (Access Service) from the Department of Telecom (DoT).
The country today faced a major power crisis for the second consecutive day today as three grids serving Northern, Eastern and North-Eastern regions failed this afternoon affecting normal life in 22 states.
Commuters in the Delhi metro were also trapped inside the tunnels for sometime as the trains came to a halt as electricity supplies got snapped.
The states affected included Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Bihar, Rajasthan and Assam and Union Territory of Chandigarh, covering more than half of the population.
