Union Minister Ram Shankar Katheria today said he was not aware of non-payment of salaries to teachers of some centrally-sponsored educational programmes because of belated release of central funds in Mizoram.
"I have no knowledge that the teachers of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) are not receiving their salaries for months in Mizoram for belated release of central funds for the purpose," Katheria told reporters here.
"I would look into the matter and rectify the problem being faced by the teachers," he said.
