Not considering to increase retirement age of doctors: UP govt

The Uttar Pradesh government today said that it was not considering to increase the retirement age of doctors from 60 to 65 years.

"There is no such consideration at government level to increase the retirement age of doctors from 60 to 65," Health Minister Shankhlal Manji said in reply to a question in Vidhan Sabha.

During question hour, Congress member Pankaj Malik sought to know from the government whether it was considering to increase the retirement age of doctors in view of their shortage in the state.
