Minister of State for Railways S Manoj Sinha today said he is not in the race for BJP's chief ministerial nominee in Uttar Pradesh where elections are due next year.
"I am not in any such race. I am happy where I am. The party has given me a chance to serve people and I want to fulfil my responsibility with complete honesty," Sinha said at an event at the Mathura railway station.
Sinha was asked about reports suggesting that he could be among the leaders being considered by BJP as its chief ministerial candidate.

Responding to why Mathura railway station has not been made a world-class station as promised, Sinha said that his government took the decision six months back and is working towards it.
Sinha has been elected from Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat thrice. He has a B Tech and M Tech degree in civil engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University.
