Former chief minister of Uttarakhand B C Khanduri today dismissed the reports of him being in the race for the Governor's post and said that he wants to 'serve the people of his constituency' over the next five years.
When asked about reports of his name doing the rounds for the Governor's post, Khanduri said "I have no information regarding this. I want to serve the people of my constituency for the next five years because this is what the people want and what I wish for."
"I do not find it appropriate to leave behind the wishes of the people who elected me to the Parliament and become the governor of any other place for my own convenience," he said.
