Earlier, Amin, another deputy superintendent of police M L Parmar and inspector Balkrishna Rajendra Prasad had approached the High Court seeking bail.
Appearing for Amin, senior counsel Mahesh Jethmalani today concluded his arguments and submitted that apart from other contentions concerning the merits of the case, the court should also take into account the health condition of the accused.
Jethmalani had said Amin was not well and due to deteriorating health, he was admitted to a civic hospital in Ahmedabad.
CBI counsel Hiten Venegaokar opposed the bail and said Amin played a very crucial role in the encounter of Sohrabuddin Shaikh and his wife Kauserbi.
He argued that Amin had accompanied Kauserbi's body along with a police sub inspector and was present when she was cremated.
While Amin's bail plea arguments have concluded, the court will hear the bail pleas of the other two accused on Friday.
