Noted writer, lawyer Kochar passes away

Noted writer and lawyer Updhyanchandra Kochar passed away last night following a protracted illness at a hospital in Mumbai, family sources said today. He was 82.

Kochar, who is survived by his wife, was the editor of weekly magazine Lokjeevan.

He had been a president of the Dungar College Student Union and was also an office bearer of social organisations like the Rotary Club of Bikaner. He has at least five literary works to his credit.
