Admitting a contempt case against Murmu and his supporters in connection with the incident moved by advocates, the direction was issued by a division bench comprising Justices D N Patel and Prashant Kumar.
President of Jharkhand Bar Council and all heads of different Bar Associations appeared before the court and pleaded the bench to take action against Murmu and his supporters for burning the effigy of the High Court.
They placed the report of the magistrate, Srikant Sinha, who was deputed at the Raj Bhavan and had filed FIR with the Kotwali police station against Murmu and six others for burning the effigy, raising slogans against it and violating Section 144 of CrPC.
Murmu, who had been on indefinite hunger strike from October 2, ended the stir after being arrested. He got bail the same day.
The court fixed November 8 for the next hearing.
