Government Medical Colleges in Madhya Pradesh will be sending notices to over 300 students facing charges of adopting unfair means including impersonation during the Pre-Medical Test (PMT) exams between 2006-2012.

Notices would be served to a total of 316 students in six government medical colleges across the state, Directorate of Medical Education (DME) sources said today.

Once the notices are served, students will be able to give their version on the charges made out against them.

The decision to send notices to students was taken after the DME asked the Deans of the government medical colleges to do so, they said.

First Information Reports (FIRs) have already been registered against 284 students and around 200 of them have been placed under suspension.

At Gandhi Medical College here, notices have been served on 25 students who were placed under suspension but were allowed by the High Court to appear for their examinations this year.
