Notification for the ensuing election to five Rajya Sabha seats from West Bengal scheduled to be held on February 7, was issued today.
Official sources said candidates can submit their nomination papers on any day other than public holiday till January 28.
Scrutiny of nomination papers would be held on January 29 and the date of withdrawal has been fixed on January 31, the sources said.

Ruling Trinamool Congress has already announced the nomination of painter Jogen Chowdhury, actor Mithun Chakraborty, K D Singh and Ahmad Hasan as their candidates for the Rajya Sabha polls.
According to the strength in the assembly, TMC with 187 seats would be able to send three members to the Rajya Sabha. The fourth TMC candidate - Ahmad Hasan will have to face a contest.
A candidate needs 49 votes to win the race to the Rajya Sabha from West Bengal, which has 294 assembly seats.
All five seats going to the polls have been held by the CPI(M)-led Left Front.
