An alleged drugs supplier was arrested today from the Satwari area here and 11 grams of heroin was seized from him, the police said.
Surinder Singh alias Shantu, a resident of Gadi Garh, was arrested during a checking drive at Foobara chowk, an official said.
Eleven grams of heroin was also seized from his possession, he said, adding that Singh was a notorious criminal and drugs supplier.
"He was one of the main suppliers of heroin and his arrest is a major success in the drive against drugs," the official said.
Singh has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, he said.
