Notorious criminal sent to judicial custody

Sushil alias Moonch, was arrested by the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh police from Pink Square Mall at Adarshnagar in Jaipur on Wednesday. He was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head.

"Sushil is leader of a gang active in Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana and UP. He has around 40 cases, including those of murder, loot and attempt to murder, lodged against him at various police stations in the states," Additional Director General of Police (law and order) Arun Kumar said.

"In 1991, Sushil, with the help of his aides, had killed a former block head in Muzaffarnagar district. He had also murdered a lawyer and his brother in Dehradun," Kumar said.

 

Sushil had allegedly executed several crimes in the last three decades and had an organised network, the officer said, adding that he was a native of Muzaffarnagar.
