A notorious dacoit and active member of dreaded Sudesh Patel alias Balkhadiya gang was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) after an encounter in Chitrakoot district, police said today.
On a tip off about the presence of Lavkush Prasad alias Rinku Patel, who was carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head, near Chulhi railway crossing yesterday, the STF team rushed there to find him standing with his gun.
After a brief encounter, the STF personnel arrested Rinku Patel and recovered a country made gun and some cartridges besides two mobile phones and some cash, they said.
