The Naga People's Front Central Executive Council (NPF CEC) today resolved to move a disqualification petition against those NPF MLAs supporting Nagaland Chief Minister T R Zeliang, and also demanded immediate recall of Governor P B Acharya.
The resolution to this effect was taken during the NPF CEC closed door meeting at party head office here this evening.
The NPF CEC resolved to take up disqualification petition against all NPF MLAs (36 including chief minster) who defied a party whip issued by party chief whip Kiyanilie Peseyie on July 21 on the floor of the Assembly, under the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution of India, a press release said.

The NPF CEC also hit out at Speaker Imtiwapang Aier for his act of "favouritism and nepotism" and "unconstitutionally" siding with his brother-in-law (Zeliang), and demanded his resignation on moral ground.
It also demanded that Zeliang immediately step down.
The NPF CEC endorsed the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) coalition partners' decision to elect Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu as DAN chairman.
It also endorsed the decision of the NPF Disciplinary Action Committee to expel 20 NPF MLAs and suspend 11 others for anti-party activities, while also recommending immediate suspension of E E Pangteang from the party on the same charges.
The NPF CEC resolved to issue a clarion call to party MLAs who have been "misled by selfish elements" to come back to the fold of the party to avoid severe penal repercussions.
It extended full support to the leadership of party president Shurhozelie Liezietsu.
The NPF CEC approved the support extended by Liezietsu to prime minister for his sincere attempt to bring an early solution to the Naga political problem and curb corruption.
