"We will contest the municipal elections, I do not know what they (NC) will do, but we will fight," party president Bhim Singh told media here.
Raising doubt on the "credibility" of the election process in the state, he said, "We won one seat in Delhi (municipal elections), but won nothing in Jammu. This is incredible, they have such a magic that all votes go to them. This machine (EVM) is another fraud."
The Panthers party chief also appealed to Governor N N Vohra to intervene in the selection of the new police chief of the state and ensure that the new Director General of Police is from the state cadre.
"We will not like that the new DGP should be from the outside state cadre. If you bring a new man (from other state cadres) he will need three years to understand the difference between Kupwara and Katra," Singh said.
DGP Kuldeep Khoda, who heads the state police force, is retiring from service at the end of this month.
