Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and Dibrugarh University (DU) have signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the Industry-Academia linkage through mutual collaboration.
The MoU was signed between NRL's General Manager (HR) A K Bhattacharya and DU's Registrar M N Dutta recently, an official release said here today.
The MoU would benefit both organisations and help foster a closer relationship that is expected to promote mutual interests including organising joint events and sharing of knowledge and information through studies and interactions, the release said.
The MoU would also facilitate NRL and Dibrugarh University to identify areas for inter disciplinary research activities and jointly plan for collaborative research in the socially and ecologically relevant fields for the development of the region, it said.
Among others present on the occasion were NRL Director(Finance) S K Barua, DU Vice Chancellor Prof Alak Kumar Buragohain, the University's Professor Emeritus Dr B K Das and other senior NRL officials.
