The National Skill Development Corporation and Schneider Electric are coming together to set up 100 laboratories across the country and a centre of excellence in the national capital region in the coming year.
The collaboration to boost energy training follows an MoU signed between the NSDC and Schneider Electric in October last year.
The two have already set up a centre of excellence in Bengaluru with focus on power, solar and automation. They have also put in place seven advanced renewable energy training centres in Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Delhi, Cuttack, Vishakhapatnam and Jaipur.
The state-of-the-art laboratories will be housed at Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKK). The centre of excellence will put a premium on training of trainers, research and development and specialised corporate programmes.
