NSE Foundation inks pact to implement CSR in 1 district in TN

NSE Foundation, a subsidiary of National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), Friday said it has signed an agreement with Ramanathapuram district administration in Tamil Nadu to undertake CSR activities.

The Foundation is implementing various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes impacting around 8.5 lakh beneficiaries across 10 states in the country, it said in a statement.

NSE Foundation has commenced concentrated initiatives to implement impact driven projects in four NITI Aayog recognized aspirational districts -- Nandurbar (Maharashtra), Karauli (Rajasthan), Birbhum (West Bengal) and Ramanathapuram (Tamil Nadu).

The key focus areas for the NSE foundation are primary education, water, sanitation, hygiene, safe drinking water and elder care along with certain disaster relief and rehabilitation efforts, it added.

* R K Chugh elected as new President of industry body IEEMA

Industry body IEEMA Friday said R K Chugh has been elected as its new President.

He will take over as President during Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers' Association's (IEEMA) annual convention and AGM to be held on September 17, 2019, the body said in a statement.

Currently, Chugh is serving as the Vice President - Industry Interface, Smart Infrastructure, Siemens Limited, IEEMA said.

"He is highly reckoned for his proficiency across various responsibilities in India & Germany. The association believes that he will provide exceptional leadership to IEEMA at this important juncture because of his outstanding professional credentials and extensive international experience," it said.
