NSE ties up with Somaiya Institute for postgraduate course

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) today said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai (SIMSR) to launch a Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Financial Economics (PGCP-FE).

The nine-month course will commence from the 2015-16 academic session, and classes will be held on weekends at the institute campus from second week of April, 2015, a statement issued here said.

K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, one of top 20 twenty B-Schools In India, offers several Post Graduate/Masters and PhD programs in Management at its sprawling 55 acres campus. These include courses in international business, financial services, integrated marketing communications and retail management, among others.
 

The course has been jointly designed by NSE and SIMSR for students who can study the course in three modules that will deal with essential subjects that provide a sound foundation and the fourth module will give exposure to a specialised subject on application of economics, finance, including econometrics and quantitative methods.

The nine-month programme also comprises two-months of project work, it said.
